Te Anau Lodge was once a convent, built in 1936, and is now home to eight welcoming bed and breakfast rooms. Despite extensive restorations the property still retains its wonderful character and many of the original features such as oak panelling and timber floors. Each room is different in size and décor, creating a unique experience for guests, and all have an en suite bathroom and king or queen bed. Guests can relax in the library lounge or on the balcony and enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea as well as home-cooked breakfast. Your host, Karl, will be able to recommend the best places to eat in the evening, with the town centre being about a 15-minute walk away.
