For a fantastic overview of the wildlife of the Otago Peninsula this five-hour tour is a must do. Start with a bus transfer from Dunedin along the scenic roads of the peninsula. You arrive at Penguin Place Conservation Reserve and join a one-and-a-half-hour guided tour where you will learn about the Yellow-Eye Penguins, the most endangered penguin species in the world. You will walk along special pathways to viewing hides where you can get a close look at the penguins without disturbing them. Afterwards, join a wildlife cruise around Tairoa Head to view New Zealand fur seals, gannets and other birdlife (with any luck an albatross or two!) before cruising all the way back along the Otago Harbour to the city.
