Your local guide will take you to some of the best sights of the city and west coast, whilst explaining the interesting geology and ecology of the region and how the Maori culture and traditions are inextricably linked to the environment. You will drive through various suburbs, including leafy Devonport on the North Shore, meander past some of the city’s famous beaches, visit the Waikatere Ranges Regional Park and learn about the ancient rainforest, and enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot along the way.
