Journey to Middle Earth on a half- or full-day tour that takes you to some of the Lord of the Rings filming locations around Wellington. You will travel out of the city to places that you may recognise such as the Great River Anduin, the Gardens of Isengard and the paths trodden by Elrond, Arwen and the Fellowship of the Ring. Your guide will give you insights in to the making of the movies and how these beautiful natural spots were transformed in to filming locations, without subsequently leaving a trace.

A half-day tour is a great taster, but for the die-hard fan you may wish to join the full-day tour which also includes a behind the scenes visit to Weta Studios where all the special effects and props for the movies were created.
