On this fantastic jet boat experience you will first take an exhilarating ride across Lake Wanaka and in to the Matukituki River Valley, surrounded by the towering peaks of Mount Aspiring National Park. Next you disembark the boat for a 50-minute walk through ancient beech forest to view waterfalls and glaciers, learn about the cultural history of the area and hear stories of the land from your guide. During the tour you will also pass some Lord of the Rings filming locations and stop at various other points of interest.

Note that the jet-boat moves at speed and there are some fast spins along the way. The walk is over uneven terrain therefore a reasonable level of fitness and agility is required. This trip is not recommended for people with back problems or pregnant ladies.
